Eye-catching, youth-focused social media images, gifs, and posters to support a gender equity in STEM campaign for Y USA.
CLIENT BACKGROUND
Y USA was seeking eye-catching, youth-focused social media assets to support gender equity in STEM campaigns, just in time for back-to-school. These gifs were posted and shared on Twitter and Facebook to help guide followers to learn more about the Y's STEM offerings during after-school programming and camp.
PROJECT GOALS
Create gifs or images for social media to guide followers to learn more about Y USA’s STEM offerings while working within the Y USA brand.
Extend the STEM campaign into physical learning spaces with posters.

Quiz Gifs
Some of the research that was supplied to us became "quiz-style" gifs, and the rest were translated into still images that became their own series.
STEM Facts Series
There were a series of still infographic-style images for social media that communicated facts about gender equity in STEM.
STEM Careers Series
These social media images were still graphics comparing STEM skills with careers that have a traditionally high percentage of women involvement.
STEM Poster Series
The digital campaign was so successful that Y USA returned with a new request — to extend the digital campaign beyond social media and bring the messaging into physical learning spaces. We then created posters displaying a diverse variety of youth characters (based on real-life STEM heroes) to inspire all children to see themselves in a STEM career. These were printed and shipped to select Y branches. The posters were also made available for download by Ys across the country.
